The TK Parent Dilemma – And How Yang Fan Solves It

Public TK offers free education for your 4-year-old…but half day programs leave working parents with tough choices. Yang Fan bridges the gap.

The Challenge

The TK Dilemma California Parents Face

Your 4-year-old qualifies for public TK- huge financial relief! But you have concerns:

  • Public TK is only half-day
  • Your 4-year-old still needs naps
  • They're not ready for rigid structure
  • Elementary aftercare isn't age-appropriate
  • Going back to full-day preschool defeats the purpose

You're stuck choosing between:

Affordable publicTK with inadequate aftercare
Nurturing full-day preschool that costs $1,500+ per month

The Yang Fan Solution

Yang Fan's TK Bridge Program

We pick them up from public TK and give them what they still need:

  • Free public TK in the morning
  • Safe, supervised pickup from your assigned TK campus
  • Lunch & structured nap time
  • Preschool Pre-K curriculum
  • Age-appropriate care
  • Daily parent updates and progress check-ins
  • Extended hours until 6:30 PM
  • Save $10,000+ per year

You're stuck choosing between:

The best of both worlds:
Public TK academics + preschool afternoon care.

Six Essential Areas of Growth

Our TK curriculum is built on research-backed developmental foundations that prepare your child for kindergarten success.

Cognitive Development

Problem-solving, memory, reasoning, and "learning how to learn" — understanding the world – building the thinking skills that power all future learning

Language & Literacy

Phonemic awareness, letter-sound association, word comprehension - the building blocks of reading and writing.

Physical & Motor

Gross and fine motor skills, self-care, nutrition awareness, and sensory exploration through active, purposeful play.

Social-Emotional

Communication, cooperation, empathy, and emotional regulation - the skills that help children navigate friendships and thrive at school

Executive Function

Attention management, task planning, and behavioral regulation - laying the groundwork for self-directed learning

Creative Expression

Art, music, movement, and drama that nurture imagination, self-expression, and the confidence to share ideas.

Built for California's Expanded TK System

California's Transitional Kindergarten program was created to provide an additional year of schooling for children who turn five between September 1. Yang Fan's TK Bridge program is specifically designed to complement this system by providing the full-day care and enrichment young learners need during this critical year of development.
